Many of us didn't want to read a sappy, cheesy book for the holiday season. The book,
Holidays on Ice, by David Sedaris was suggested. We met at Karen's home for the discussion and had a "wintery" meal: Tortellini with Sausage Soup, Vegetable Pasta Soup, bread & salad, and for dessert, we had Bread Pudding with Whiskey Maple Cream sauce, and a Hazelnut Ganache Tart. Delish!

Over dinner, we shared about our holiday memories and traditions. Later in the evening, we chatted about the book- we all agree that it was definitely unconventional- full of short stories, somewhat sarcastic/cynical, and definitely not cheesy! In the end, it was just nice to gather with a wonderful group of women during this festive season.
